Little prince

Little prince (inspired by the Clash Royale character) is a Minecraft anticheat focused on mod detection, anti-ESP, anti-xray, and other subtle cheats.

We look for behavior a cheat can’t hide without giving up what makes it work. That’s what lets us avoid the constant cycle of patching a detection and waiting for the next bypass. Some cheats simply don’t expose enough for a reliable detection, and we’re okay with that. We accept those limits instead of pushing a check further and risking false positives.

That takes a lot of research, especially when dealing with cheats that run mostly on the client. It’s complicated. Really complicated.

We’ve spent months trying ideas ourselves and digging through the Minecraft client and server source code. Along the way, we’ve found several new detection methods for cheats that are usually difficult to catch, such as freecam.

We can’t share all the details, but one example involves the locator bar. It adjusts based on where the player is looking. When someone uses freecam, the locator bar still moves. We can track those changes through a fairly complicated NMS implementation and use them to detect freecam. That’s a simplified explanation of one of the methods we’ve found.

Most of the work is figuring out which bits of Minecraft’s behavior give a cheat away, then finding a reliable way to detect them.
